The Fourth Grampian
Rally will again be held at the marvellous
facility of the Scout Campsite, Templars Park, Maryculter
- about 7 miles from Aberdeen, just south of the River Dee (NO 847999
OS Sheet 38). The George Smith Centre on the Site will form the Headquarters
for the Rally.
All tastes are catered for in the 20, 40, and 60-mile cycle
rides on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. You will be given Route Sheets,
but just to make sure you won’t get lost, leaders (and sweepers) will accompany
every ride. To top it all, every evening the Grampian CTC will organise a
social event.
If you bring a tent or caravan,
the Scout Campsite
has ample space for tents, trailer tents and caravans, but has no electric
hook-ups. To book for the Scout site, see attached booking form.
Nearby is the Lower Deeside Holiday Park (NJ 855001 OS Sheet 38), where some pitches
have electric hook-ups. There are also static caravans and lodges for hire, but these are on a
weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday.
