AUDAX

What is Audax?

Audax UK (or AUK) is the controlling organisation in the United Kingdom for Audax rides or more correctly Randonnee's. This is a ride open to all cyclists of varying abilities where the individual is required to complete a set distance within a specified time limit. The time allowed is generous enough to allow successful  completion for most proficient cyclists. Audax is NOT a race. On successful completion a Brevet (certificate) is awarded to the cyclist with the option of purchasing a badge or medal. Riders may travel alone or in groups, there are fixed controls along the route (often in village halls or cafe's) where the riders may rest and eat (important on the longer rides).
There is a full programme of events from an easy 50 Km up to 600 Km and beyond covering the UK throughout the year. Full details of all Audax events can be found in the handbook and also on the AUK website calendar at http://www.audax.uk.net/

To Kingdom Come 400 Km Permanent - Anytime
